About us

Scarborough Skip Hire is a skip hire service for homes and builders in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Here is who we are, where we cover, and how hiring a skip with us works.

What we do

We arrange skip hire across central Scarborough and the North Yorkshire coast, for householders clearing a garage or garden and for builders running a site. You choose from 2 to 40 yard skips, tell us where it is going, and get a fixed price back within one working day. Delivery is next day as standard, and we sort the council paperwork for you when a skip needs to sit on a public road.

There is no obligation and no hidden pricing. If you are not sure what size you need, say so on the quote form and we will recommend one, or use the skip size calculator to work it out yourself.

Areas we cover

Skip hire across central Scarborough and the North Yorkshire coast. Enter your postcode on the quote form to check coverage and get a price for your exact location.

  • YO11 — Central and South Scarborough, Eastfield, Cayton, Osgodby
  • YO12 — North and West Scarborough, Newby, Seamer, Falsgrave
  • YO13 — Scalby, Burniston, Cloughton, Snainton
  • YO14 — Filey, Hunmanby, Reighton and surrounding villages
  • Also — Whitby, Bridlington, Pickering and Malton, depending on availability

How it works

  1. Tell us the job. Send your postcode, rough skip size and where it will sit, on the quote form or by email.
  2. Get a fixed price. We reply within one working day with a price that includes delivery and collection.
  3. We deliver. Next-day delivery as standard across the Scarborough area.
  4. We handle the permit. If the skip goes on a public road rather than a driveway, we arrange the council permit so you do not have to.
  5. We collect. Let us know when you are done and we take it away, with up to 85% of what we collect recycled rather than landfilled.

What can go in a skip

Most household and building waste is fine: furniture, timber, rubble, soil, garden waste and general clearance. Some items are not allowed in a skip, such as fridges, mattresses in some cases, tyres, paint, asbestos and other hazardous material. Our guide to what can and cannot go in a skip covers the detail before you load up.
